The Renegade Pub Football League will host its 2026 Pride Round at Victoria Park on Saturday 23 May from 11.45am.
Listed through Pride Cup Australia, the upcoming 2026 Pride Round is a community event, bringing together players, supporters, families and the wider community to celebrate diversity, connection and participation through sport.
We spoke with Renegade Pub Football League President, Nathan Phillips, to find out what the 2026 Pride Round means to the league.
“For us, the Pride Round is a celebration; of community, safe and inclusive footy, and one of many ways the Renegade Pub Football League shows love, support and acceptance for the LGBITQA+ community within our league,” Nathan explained.
Nathan described the journey to building a safe and inclusive culture, both on and off the field, as a long one for the league. It has come from years of joint effort and input from all the league’s teams; sharing experiences, listening, giving space to those who may not receive it in other football clubs.
“The wonderful culture we have created reflects all the amazing and diverse people that make up our community,” Nathan said.
What can people expect from the event at Victoria Park?
On Saturday there will be four exciting games of football and punters can immerse themselves in family friendly fun around Victoria Park including:

“The Pride Round is one of the biggest and best days on the pub footy calendar and a chance for us to passionately celebrate our people and our community,” Nathan added.
