Emotionally Intelligent Parenting

Would you like to learn how to:

• be better at connecting with your child?
• be better at understanding your child?
• help your child learn to manage their emotions? 
• help to prevent behaviour problems in your child?
• teach your child to deal with conflict?

 TiK shows you how to help your child develop emotional intelligence.

Children with higher emotional intelligence:

• have greater success with making and keeping friends
• have better concentration at school
• are more able to calm down when upset or angry
• tend to have fewer childhood illnesses

Emotional intelligence may be a better predictor of academic and career success than IQ!

Tuning in to Teens (TinT)

The Family Services team at Yarra City Council in conjunction with Relationships Australia (Victoria) are pleased to offer you the opportunity to attend our 6 session TiK program for parents and carers of adolescents.

Would you like to learn how to:

• better understand and help your child navigate this important developmental phase
• strengthen your relationship with your child
• coach your child to manage strong emotions like worry, anger and sadness
• build your child’s problem solving, conflict resolution, and resilience skills
• help your child develop healthy friendships.

Fitzroy

Time  6:30pm – 8:30pm

Falconer Street, Fitzroy

Cost

$110 each, or $170 for a caregiver pair
Free for Healthcare Card holders

Bookings are essential and places are limited and attendance at all session will enable a full understanding of the program.
