Good governance is about elected Councillors making decisions based on proper processes and systems, and our staff carrying out those decisions appropriately.

Local laws in Yarra Our local laws set legally enforceable standards and guidelines for managing activities and issues in the community.
Freedom of Information FOI is a process which gives applicants access to documents held by us.
Petitions Petitions are formal written requests to us which has been signed by multiple people.
Place Naming We are responsible for naming the assets including roads, parks and other places.
Privacy Policy We seek to responsibly manage any personal information or health information we handle.
Public Interest Disclosures We are a public body subject to the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2012.
Statutory Declaration Statutory declarations are important legal documents which must be signed before an ‘authorised witness’.

Our Flags We fly a range of flags at our Town Halls in Collingwood, Fitzroy and Richmond and on our Civic Flagpoles.
