Come and chat with us about Yarra's upcoming food and garden organics (FOGO) collection service
Monday 18 March 2024
Residents interested in learning more about Yarra’s food and garden organic (FOGO) service rollout are invited to attend one of our in-person events.
Yarra City Council is introducing a new kerbside waste stream starting collection on the week of the 1 July 2024. Residents and organisations that receive a kerbside waste collection service from Council will receive a new 120 litre lime green-lidded bin, between April and June 2024, for food and garden organic (FOGO) materials.
This new FOGO collection service will provide our community with a new avenue to reduce waste, recycle more materials and contribute to a circular economy.
Council understands that residents have a range of questions about this service. We’ve organised lots of opportunities for you to discuss these questions with our friendly waste team.
