At Tuesday night’s Council Meeting, Council:
- endorsed the Transport Action Plan 2022-2033
- resolved to carefully transition the remainder of its home care services to our trusted not-for-profit provider, Mercy Health, in response to Federal aged care reforms.
- approved the final landscape concept plan for the Smith Reserve upgrade in Fitzroy.
- resolved to consider permanent shading for the Fitzroy Swimming Pool entrance in the 2024/25 draft Budget.
- resolved for the Mayor to request urgent ministerial action on the upkeep and design of tram stops #15 and #17 on Bridge Road and Victoria Street, and to secure a commitment for the 2024/25 renewal of Bridge Road between Hoddle Street and Yarra Boulevard.
- resolved to review the impact of heavy utility vehicles on Yarra’s streets to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists and reduce congestion.
