Temporary closure of Collingwood Leisure Centre

Wednesday 05 January 2022

Collingwood Leisure Centre will be closed from Thursday 6 January to Sunday 9 January, due to staff shortages caused by current COVID-19 testing and isolation requirements.

The venue will reopen at 6am on Monday 10 January.

We encourage you to visit either Fitzroy Swimming Pool or Richmond Recreation Centre which will remain open during this time. We will also look to schedule additional classes to the group exercise timetables at Fitzroy and Richmond where possible; please visit our timetable page for updates.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by the closure of Collingwood Leisure Centre.

What happens to my bookings?

All active bookings for any of our services at Collingwood Leisure Centre from 6am Thursday 6 January to Sunday 9 January will be cancelled.

You will receive a credit to your account if you paid for a class online.

There is nothing you need to do; the credit will appear in the ‘My Purchases’ section of the online portal.

Future service and venue closures

Unfortunately, due to the current number of active COVID cases in the community we anticipate that we will continue to experience impacts to our services.

We will endeavour to keep service and venue closures to a minimum where possible. Any decision to close a venue or service is made with the health and safety of our patrons and employees as the priority.

As service and venue closures may come at short notice; we encourage you to follow us on social media or visit our website for the latest updates.

We apologise for any inconvenience this and future service and venue closures may cause and thank you for your understanding during this challenging time.
