Nominations are now open for the 2019 Women of Yarra Awards. Nominate an individual or group of people who identify as women who have made a unique contribution to our community. 

International Women’s Day is an opportunity to recognise the historical achievements of women and the worldwide need for greater gender equality.

This coming March, we will mark this global event by presenting the 2019 Women of Yarra Awards.

Now in its 6th year, the awards celebrate the unique contributions women make to community, culture and progressive social change. 

You can nominate individuals or groups of people who identify as women, who live, work or study in Yarra and who have made a unique contribution to our community through paid or unpaid work. 

Selection criteria:

• the nominee makes a significant contribution to the Yarra community
• the nominee demonstrates innovation and creativity in their work 
• the nominee demonstrates leadership and initiative.

Nominations close 5pm Monday 18 February 2019.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and afternoon tea on Friday 8 March from 1.30pm to 3pm at Collingwood Town Hall and we invite you to join us.
