Child care
There are a number of child care options for families who live and work in Yarra.
Council operates four child care centres, located in Collingwood, North Carlton and Richmond. Council also provides occasional care at the Richmond Recreation Centre, Collingwood Leisure Centre and Fitzroy Swimming Pool.
To register your child for a place in one of Council’s child care centres, please complete a Central Registration Application Form.
Gold Street Children’s Centre

Gold Street Children’s Centre offers a range of educational programs for children aged from three months to school age.
Ages: 3 months – school age
Hours: 7.30am – 6.00pm
Fees: $86 daily, $410 per week

Keele Street Children’s Centre

Keele Street offers a range of educational programs for children aged from three months to three and half years. Children can access the Gold Street Children’s Centre Kindergarten program.
Ages: 3 months - 3.5 years
Hours: 7.30am – 6.00pm
Fees: $86 daily, $410 per week

North Carlton Children’s Centre

The North Carlton Children’s Centre offers long day care, a three year old sessional program and a four year old funded kindergarten program.

Hours: 7.45am – 6.15pm
Fees: $86 daily, $410 per week

Yarraberg Children’s Centre
