Structure and Local Area Plans
Council uses Structure Plans and Local Area Plans to manage change and future development in Yarra. These plans set a framework for what kind of design and development is permitted for specific areas.
These frameworks are significant pieces of work and involve several rounds of community consultation.

- Prioritising pedestrian access and movement in the area
- Providing good access to public transport
