Inner Melbourne Action Plan
The Inner Melbourne Action Plan (IMAP) is a collaborative partnership between the Cities of Melbourne, Port Phillip, Stonnington, Yarra and Maribyrnong.
These inner Melbourne Councils work together to strengthen the liveability, attraction and prosperity of the region.
Have Your Say: Draft Inner Melbourne Action Plan 2015-2025
For the past ten years, the inner city councils have been partners in the Inner Melbourne Action Plan (IMAP) to undertake a series of joint Strategies and Actions aimed at responding to the growth forecast in the Melbourne 2030 plan. That current plan is now due for review.
The cities of Melbourne, Stonnington, Yarra, Port Phillip and Maribyrnong (the IMAP Councils) now make up the Central Subregion under Plan Melbourne. In response to the new State Government plan, the IMAP Councils have undertaken a review and prepared the Draft Inner Melbourne Action Plan 2015-2025 to address future changes identified for the inner city.
The Draft Inner Melbourne Action Plan 2015-2025 sets out five Goals and 27 Strategies which propose areas that the Councils can work together to progress joint advocacy, policy and projects which help address the impacts of city growth and achieve a more liveable city.
Community comment is now sought on the proposed plan. Your feedback will help finalise the statements and policies which will be presented to the five IMAP Councils for adoption.
The final Inner Melbourne Action Plan 2015-2025 is expected to be completed and presented to the five IMAP Councils in April/May 2016.
All comments will be coordinated through the City of Stonnington website on behalf of the five IMAP Councils. To view the Draft Inner Melbourne Action Plan 2015-2025 and for further information on how you can comment, please visit the Stonnington Council consultation webpage.
Written comments are sought by 29 February 2016 by post or email to the following address:
Post: IMAP Executive Officer, City of Stonnington, PO Box 21 Prahran, VIC 3181
