Your recycling is collected each week, on the same day as your garbage. Your collection day can be found on the weekly collection schedule.
Please make sure your bins are on the kerb before 5am on your collection day. Remove all lids, rinse containers and crush all plastic bottles, cans and milk cartons to make room available in your bin for your recyclables. Please avoid contamination - do not place food or other household waste in the bin.
Items that can be recycled include:
- All glass bottles and jars
- Milk and juice cartons
- All plastic bottles and containers with codes 1 - 7
- All steel and aerosol cans
- All aluminium cans and clean foil
- Paper, newspapers, magazines, and cardboard
Non recyclables like nappies, ceramic cups and food scraps contaminate the recycling process. If you're unsure whether an item can be recycled, it's best to place it in the garbage bin.
Items that cannot be recycled include:
- Plastic bags
- Food Scraps
- Paint Tins
- Plates and crockery
- Electrical goods
