Asset Management Policy
In August 2011, Council adopted a Asset Management Policy for the next five years.
The Policy outlines a framework which will guide Council’s management of important assets such as roads, bridges, buildings, drains, parks, open space, plant, equipment, whitegoods and furniture.
The Policy seeks to embed practices that will help Council meet the four main environmental sustainability targets listed in its Council Plan 2009 -2013 : reducing water consumption, working towards carbon neutrality, significantly reducing energy use, and generating more energy from renewable energy sources.
