Richmond Library Refreshed

13 July 2016

The Yarra Libraries’ Richmond branch has reopened – following a month of extensive refurbishments.

Library users have recently been enjoying the increasingly contemporary space, which boasts increased IT accessibility – computers available for customer use increasing from 12 to 22.

Additional communal spaces – along with new furniture, fresh carpet and moveable shelving – now invite more people to utilise the valuable local facility. The refurbishment also allows for improved computer training, pop-up maker space activities, talks, cultural events and art exhibitions.

The above improvements, along with additional cosmetic alterations, were made to the building with funding help from the State Government’s 2015 Living Libraries Infrastructure Program.
