Yarra Leisure wins ARV Business Excellence Award
21 June 2016
Yarra City Council’s efforts to enhance its leisure services have been highlighted with a prestigious 2015 Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV) Award.
Council was the inaugural winner in the Business Excellence category, which recognises excellence and innovation in customer service, business practices, risk management, marketing and sustainability.
Council last year undertook a thorough review of its Yarra Leisure operations, before rebranding the service and securing new gym equipment. Improvements were also made to the staff structure and reporting mechanisms, the end result being a more efficient and effective service for the entire Yarra community to enjoy.
Yarra Leisure is responsible for Council’s aquatic, gym and recreational facilities, including major recreation centres in Richmond, Clifton Hill and Fitzroy, as well as a nine-hole golf course in Burnley.
