Council has conducted two rounds of community consultation on potential upgrades for Williams Reserve. Consultation on the revised concept plan concluded on Friday 17 June 2016.
Feedback on the revised plan indicated that most people were comfortable with the modifications. Some minor adjustments have been made in response to feedback, including:
- with the exception of the grove of Acer trees, all new tree and garden bed planting will be native species.
- the grove of Acers will be reduced to two rows (as opposed to the original three rows). There may be scope to include a third row along Victoria Street at a future date.
- some standard City of Yarra seats with backrests will be provided.
- a two plate BBQ will be provided.
