General Local Law
Councils General Local Law now regulates activities on roads and Council land.
Some of the issues addressed by the General Local Law - 3 August 2016 (858.43 KB) include:
- overhanging vegetation
- abandonment of shopping trolleys
- commercial fitness activities in local parks
- spoils on roads
- damage to Council assets
- placement of signage, goods, furniture in public places
- noisy vehicles
- misuse of parking permits.
The Local Government Act requires Council to review and update each of its local laws every 10 years.
