Environment
This local law aims to promote an environment free from hazards to health, prevent nuisances which may adversely affect enjoyment of life and regulate activities which may be dangerous or unsafe or detrimental to the quality of life.
The
Environment Local Law (341.91kB) covers activities such as:
- unsightly land
- circuses, carnivals and festivals
- disturbing noise in Council’s Parks and Gardens
- building works
- dilapidated buildings
- protection of significant trees
- keeping of animals
This local law incorporates amendments made by:
- the Control of Noise in Council Parks and Gardens Local Law, No. 2 of 2007
- the Management of Large Building Sites Local Law, No. 1 of 2009
