Environment Consultative Committee
This Committee was established to provide feedback to Council to help guide Yarra’s environmental programs and policies.
The committee’s membership includes four members of the Yarra community. Yarra Mayor Geoff Barbour and Councillors Alison Clarke and Jackie Fristacky are also on the committee.
The committee held its first meeting in late November 2009, and continues to meet quarterly.
It will discuss Council’s progress on environmental initiatives, with community members to report back to their networks to keep the wider Yarra community informed about environmental programs and initiatives.
The committee will also advise Council on hosting public forums relating to key topics of environmental concern.
