Yarra Youth Services offers a range of programs and activities for young people, both during school terms and during the holidays.

Youth Services Holiday Program
Each school holidays, Yarra Youth Services offers a fun-filled holiday program for young people aged 12-18 years who live, work or study in Yarra. Find out more on the Youth Services Holiday Program webpage.
Go Zone
Go Zone provides a safe place for young people to hang out, make new friends and try different activities.
Young people aged from 12 to 18 years who live, work or study in Yarra can be part of Go Zone and join in the free activities including t-shirt printing, DVD nights and pool competitions.
Go Zone is at the Yarra Community Youth Centre, 156 Napier Street, Fitzroy, every Thursday during the school term from 4.30pm – 7.30pm.

Girl Zone
A free program that provides a safe and supportive space for young women aged between 12 and 18 years to hang out and have fun.
Activities include jewellery making, health and beauty, cooking and recycled fashion workshops.
Girl Zone is at the Yarra Community Youth Centre, 156 Napier Street, from 4.30 – 7.30pm on the last Thursday of every month during the school term.

Girlz Girlz Girlz
A free program for young women aged between 14 and 18 years old who live, work or study in the City of Yarra.
Participants can take part in fashion workshops, jewellery making, t-shirt printing and much more!
Girlz Girlz Girls is at the Community Hall at the Richmond Housing Estate, 106 Elizabeth Street from 4.30 – 6.30pm on Wednesdays during the school term.

Homework Help
Carlton
Tutors are available at Carlton Library each Wednesday afternoon from 4.00pm – 6.00pm, to help students with a range of subjects.
Computers are also available at this time, so students can work on assignments or use the internet. This service is free.
Fitzroy
The Brotherhood of St Laurence runs a free Homework Centre at the Fitzroy Library from Monday to Thursday, between 4.00pm – 6.00pm. Specialist tutors are available to assist students with a range of subjects, and to help students develop useful study skills.

Spicy Cooking
Spicy Cooking brings young people together to share recipes, learn about nutritious food, and develop new cooking skills.
Cooking is an important skill for independent living. Knowing where to shop and what to buy helps people save money, eat well and prepare and share meals with family and friends. The Spicy Cooking program is supported by a qualified dietician who provides information for participants about the nutritional values of different foods and the benefits of a healthy diet.
Spicy Cooking takes place at Collingwood Neighbourhood House (253 Hoddle Street, Collingwood) on Thursdays during school terms from 3.00pm.
This program was developed in partnership with North Yarra Community Health to help young people cultivate a love of cooking and healthy eating.

Y-Active!
Y-Active provides young people with an opportunity to sample a range of exciting activities including DJ-ing, sports, drama, dance, filmmaking and more!
Being active and creative is important for physical and mental health. Y-Active provides a supervised environment for young people to share positive experiences, learn new skills and have fun.
The program takes place at Yarra Youth Services (156 Napier Street, Fitzroy) each Wednesday during the school term, from 4.00pm-6.00pm.
