Learner Driver Programs
Harder Faster Smarter
The Harder Faster Smarter program, run in partnership with Good Shepherd, aims to teach young people everything they need to know about getting their learner permit.
The sessions include tips on using the VicRoads online test, road traffic observation and safe car exercises.
The program is free and available to young people aged 16 – 20 years old, who live, work or study in the City of Yarra.
L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program
The L2P program, run by Good Shepherd Youth & Family Services and supported by Council, helps young people to gain their driver’s licence, by matching volunteers with learner drivers.
The volunteers, who are qualified drivers, supervise learner drivers and help them gain practical driving experience.
A safe vehicle is provided, along with training, insurance and ongoing support.
The program is free and available to young people aged 16 – 20 years old, who live, work or study in the City of Yarra.
