Day Care

Willowview activityWillowview Day Centre offers a range of programs for older people and older people with disabilities. It also supports family members in their role as carers.

The centre provides a warm, friendly and caring environment where people can socialise and participate in enjoyable activities.

Willowview offers a range of activities including:

  • discussions
  • gentle exercise
  • trips and outings
  • arts and crafts
  • board games
  • cards and bingo
  • guest speakers
  • special events
  • celebrations
  • cooking
  • gardening
  • BBQs.

Additional activities, including gentle exercise and art activities, are provided at the Hosie Street Seniors Hub in Richmond on Thursdays.

The cost for activities at both locations depends on the type of activity and the participant’s income. To discuss costs, contact Jane Trobbiani, Willowview Coordinator, on 9205 5276 or 9205 5427, or at Jane.Trobbiani@yarracity.vic.gov.au  

Transport to and from Willowview is provided, with staff available to assist people of the journey. A hoist-bus is available for wheelchairs.

Who Can Attend?
  • Older residents
  • People with limited opportunities to participate in regular community activities
  • People who have limited mobility and require support
  • People who have some memory loss
  • People whose carers need time to relax.
Who Can Refer?

The Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS), general practitioners, family members and individuals can all make referrals to Willowview. Following a home-based assessment, all efforts will be made to offer a place in a program at Willowview.

The Willowview Day Centre is located at 6 Eddy Court, Abbotsford, next to the next to the Collingwood Town Hall. Willowview operates Monday – Friday, from 9.30am – 3pm.
