CitiPower works in North Carlton
CitiPower is carrying out underground cable works in North Carlton from late July 2011 to strengthen the security and reliability of the electricity supply to the CBD and inner-northern suburbs.
The works will be carried out in the western side of Rathdowne Street, starting at Princes Street and proceeding progressively north to Fenwick Street at a rate of about 10 to 20 metres each day depending on the number and location of other underground services.
Over the next six months, this CitiPower project will continue north, diverting slightly east through Fitzroy North.
