Public Health and Wellbeing Act
All healthcare premises must be registered with the Council as required under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008. Registration allows health businesses to operate and is renewable annually. The registration period expires on 31st December each year. Council forwards applications to renew registration to each business in mid-October for payment by 30th November. Late fees and potential prosecution apply to businesses who fail to renew their registration by the due date. Payments can now be made via the Council’s Internet however please note that the signed application must be returned to Council.
Transfer of Registration
It is the responsibility of the new proprietor of a personal care or body art business to advise Council of change in business ownership. The new owner is required to complete a Transfer of Registration application.
