Family Day Care

child in playground Family Day Care is a unique form of child care that is based at the carer’s home. It is suited to families who require flexible child care outside of standard working hours. 

In Yarra, the Family Day Care program is managed by the Brotherhood of St Laurence. The Brotherhood of St Laurence's responsibilities include recruiting, training and monitoring home-based carers.

Family Day Care is available to families who have children under 12 years old.

Services include:

• Full-time care
• Before and after school care
• Playgroups for care providers and children
• Part-time care
• Equipment loan for care providers
• Overnight care/emergency care
• Care for children with additional needs, and
• Kindergarten and school drop-off and pick-up.
