Personal care

We recognise that some people may need assistance with their personal care. You can be confident that personal carers can help you with your needs. All personal care tasks will be performed in a sensitive manner that respects your feelings and meet your needs.

All non-medical related personal care needs can be arranged through the Assessment Officers. Medical or nursing tasks can usually be arranged through your doctor or local nursing service. If you are unsure, the Assessment Officers will provide you with advice and information and can arrange a referral if required.

As a guide, our personal care services include:

toileting
showering
grooming
dressing
emptying commodes
assistance with eating
prompting with medication
some meal preparation
