221 Kerr Street, Fitzroy

Council is seeking community feedback on a proposal for an eight-storey residential development at 221 Kerr Street, Fitzroy.

The proposal from PhilKerr Property Pty Ltd and BillKerr Property Pty Ltd would involve retaining the existing two-storey red brick facade and constructing six additional levels.

A total of 72 dwellings is proposed including eight townhouses within the existing building and 64 apartments within the upper six levels. 

The applicant is seeking a reduction in the standard car parking requirement for the development, with 62 car spaces proposed.

Community feedback on the application was formally due by Monday 28 November 2011. However, Council will continue to accept submissions about the proposal up until it makes a decision about it.

An information session about the application was held in mid-November.

If you wish to make a submission to Council regarding the proposed redevelopment, your submission must be in writing and should state how you would be affected by the granting of a permit. For your submission to be valid, it must include your name and address. Please include a reference to the planning application number PLN11/0648.
