Traffic Study Group Charter
A Traffic Study Group comprises members of the community who provide recommendations to Council about improving traffic conditions in local streets.
A group is formed each time Council conducts a Local Area Traffic Management Study (LATMs). These studies examine specific precincts across Yarra with the aim of reducing traffic volumes and speeds and providing a safer environment for pedestrians and cyclists.
Members of the Traffic Study Group represent the views of residents and businesses in each study area. They act as a contact for the local community and assist in the development of a traffic management plan for the area.
People who wish to join a Traffic Study Group are required to read and consent to the Traffic Study Group Charter. The charter outlines the terms of reference and roles and responsibilities of the group.
