Annettes Place is a small reserve in Richmond located along the Yarra River that provides access to the Main Yarra Trail.
Shade sails for playground area
Council installed shade sails over the playground at River Street Reserve (also known as Annette’s Place) in mid-December 2011.
The structure consists of six posts supporting three sails, positioned to allow through winter sun while providing shade in the summer.
The sail fabric provides 90%+ UVA/UVB protection from the sun.
The sails are blue and yellow to complement the playground equipment.
