Council Meeting preview for Tuesday 14 May 2024

Yarra City Council’s next Council Meeting is scheduled for 6.30pm on Tuesday 14 May 2024 at Richmond Town Hall. 

Key items on the agenda: 

  • Secret Garden - Ballarat St Collingwood: 
    A proposed request from Department of Transport and Planning’s for Council to take management responsibility (through a license) of the space will be presented to Council for consideration. 
  • Wellington Street Stages three and four - Community engagement and data collection: 
    The results of the initial community engagement and data, collected to guide decision making on an upcoming options assessment and concept design work, will be submitted to the Council for review. 
  • Quarterly Community Report - March 2024: 
    Council will be presented with the 2023/2024 Quarter 3 (Community Report), including progress updates on Financial, Capital Works and Annual Plan data. This is a transparent overview of the organisation and its activities from January – March 2024. 
  • Multicultural Partnerships Policy: 
    The Yarra Multicultural Partnerships Policy May 2024 will be presented to Council for consideration.  
  • Community Grants FY2025 Initiation Report: 
    The community grants programs to be initiated for financial year 2024/25 and funding for the respective grants, subject to the adoption of the 2024/25 budget, will be delivered to the Council for endorsement.  
  • Portable Buildings World Heritage Listing Proposal: 
    A report written in relation to the World Heritage listings of Portable Buildings will be presented to Council for evaluation. 
  • Governance Report - May 2024: 
    The Governance Report regarding statuary compliance, transparency, and governance related matters to be presented to Council.
